Building Bridges is back!
Together with the Centre for Translation and Interpreting Studies, University of Leicester, the EMRG returns on the 19th May with an online session designed to forge links between university courses and the translation industry. The event will consist of a series of short talks with speakers taken from within the EMRG, followed by an opportunity for small group discussion in break-out rooms, including some local translation agencies.

• Claire is a literary translator working from German and Spanish into English.
Stephanie Donat: Project Manager Perspectives
• Steph is a remote Project Manager at AJT , a translation agency specialising in translation for the European markets. She also works as a French to English translator specialising in the health and beauty industry and an English copyeditor.
Gabriella Di Luca: First steps into interpreting in the NHS
• Gabriella is a freelance translator and interpreter working from Italian and French to English, specialising in the medical, cosmetic/beauty and tourism sectors.
Ellen Worrell: Mastering the MITI
• Ellen is an award-winning translator specialising in furniture manufacturing, travel and tourism, animal and nature conservation, and renewable energy.
We will also be joined by the Chair of the Institute of Translation and Interpreting, Nicki Bone.
In addition, you will have a chance to join breakout rooms on a range of topics, hosted by professional translators.
